How aihtax uses cookies and similar technologies
This site is a static web app. We primarily use browser storage rather than advertising cookies. This notice covers cookies and similar technologies (localStorage / session markers) under UK PECR.
If you accept, we use PostHog to see which parts of the product are used and where people get stuck. PostHog sets its own browser storage and receives a pseudonymous identifier for your account, the pages you visit and actions such as signing in or filing a return. It does not receive your name or email address, your receipts, your transactions or anything you file to HMRC.
Our PostHog instance is hosted in the EU region, so this data stays in the EEA. Nothing is used for advertising, and nothing is sold. Analytics runs only if you choose "Accept all" — choose "Essential only" and PostHog is never loaded at all.
When enabled (and when a Sentry DSN is configured), we send error reports to our error-monitoring provider to fix beta defects. This is not used for advertising. You can decline optional diagnostics in the cookie banner; essential session storage will still work.
Use the cookie banner when it appears, or clear site data in your browser — clearing it brings the banner back, so you can change your mind. Declining optional analytics and diagnostics limits what we can see about how the product is used and what is going wrong, and nothing else: every part of aihtax works either way.
